The rate at which we absorb vitamins depends on several factors such as the health of your digestive system, and lifestyle (are you an avid smoker, whether you’re on medication and the type of medication).
The type of vitamins taken makes a difference in the absorption rate. For example, omega 3 vitamins take longer to break down than vitamin C due to the varying enzymes involved in their breakdown and different pathways to absorption.
Typically, it will only take 30- 40 minutes for a vitamin to disintegrate after it is consumed.
